Does Anyone Know Any Good Sites To Learn Guitar Online, Also Should I Start With Acoustic Or Electric?

I want to learn how to play the guitar, yet my father doesn't want me to take lessons at an actual music center. So i'm thinking about learning online.
And i would like to play electric guitar but i don't know if it is better to start with acoustic.
