Easy Guitar Lesson – How to Find
Ask your family and friends
Chances are you already know someone personally who knows how to play the guitar. I had a friend back in college who would teach us a thing or two about guitar playing, usually in exchange for some school work. Ask around. There's always a knowledgeable friend eager to lend you a helping hand.
Search the yellow pages
The yellow pages is one of the first things that you should look into to find some help. Just run your fingers down the listings and I'm sure you will find a guitar instructor there.
Enroll in a music school
Probably the most obvious place to look for some easy guitar lesson would be a music school. They offer various levels of instructions; from the complete beginner to advanced guitar players. Some people can be quite hesitant in trying out a music school, thinking that it's for children. Don't be. Learning how to play a musical instrument doesn't require anyone to be of a certain age. Music is for everybody, either young or old.
Go online
The internet is a great resource for anything you want to learn something of. And searching for easy guitar lesson would definitely give you a great number of websites offering such instructions.
Here are some tips to help you on your search for guitar lessons:
1. Ask around for some good recommendations for a guitar instructor. Try to find someone who actually availed of the services of that instructor.
2. Buy a guitar even if you haven't found a guitar teacher yet. Familiarizing yourself with the instrument can give you a great head start when you start on your formal lessons.
3. When looking in the yellow pages, don't think that just because a certain guitar instructor has a bigger and fancier ad doesn't mean he's the best. Contact the other instructors so you'll have a better list of choices.
4. When looking for some easy lessons online, ask a friend who knows how to play a guitar to view that website. If he gives his approval then you'll know you've found a great site.
5. Look for a guitar teaching website that has easy to follow instructions with clear pictures or diagrams of the various finger placements on the guitar fret board.
6. When talking to an instructor, you should ask for some references, preferably from his former students. Interview his references and from there you can best gauge the ability of the instructor.
