</div>

This is nothing like vol.1 of the series. Vol 1 was a great book with a nice song selection to learn. This book merely gives you a few techniques to learn, no new songs.

</div>

I needed a book/DCD series to teach 7-12 grade students just the basics necessary to play guitar either to accompany youth group singing or be a member of a praise band supporting worship services, and Guitar Worship Books 1 & 2 are the books I ended up using. Before I decided on these two books, I looked at a number of other guitar teaching books, and found these the best. Again, I am not teaching these youths how to solo, or even much about electric guitar, just how to play solid strumming patterns using good chording technique to support singers and other musicians. The author, Garth Heckman is a youth pastor (20 plus years) who has obviously taught guitar to a lot of students
