I have been playing guitar for 3 years … i know quite well but i m still learning a lot of new stuff …
it totally depends how hard you are working and your creativity … its not that difficult but do practice a lot ..
you need at least one month to learn important basics… but practice is real important…
consult any pro guitarist fro guidance…
All the best
You are never done learning. So much also depends on what you put into it.
But, if you practice every day, have a love for it, after a year you should feel like you can go out and play well for people and/or know enough to at least keep yourself entertained and have a good foundations.
Hmm, I’ve been playing guitar for 33 years now. I’m still learning. You should NEVER stop learning. However, if your question is how long before you can get up and play without making a fool of yourself, that depends on your level of motivation. If you’re willing to practice several hours a day, probably only a few months before you’ve gotten competent. If, like most people, you have trouble finding 3 hours a week to practice, I’d allow a year at least.
To learn guitar takes time it’s something that you are never fully as good as you can be but basics can be learned in a few days to few months depending on how well you learn new things . As well you can either learn tab or notes most people just learn tab witch is easy and less confussing that it’s just about getting your fingers right .
ha, easy, that’s the best joke I’ve heard today. With learning the piano, your hands are making the same general hand movements, but in learning the guitar, your hands are doing two completely different things. Ones plucking the strings, and the others pressing them. I’ve been learning the guitar since I was 6-7, ten years ago. I started on tab, then moved to notes. Anyways, I started to teach myself piano, and believe me, Piano is a cake-walk in comparison
If your really serous about it..it will take your life time. You might learn some songs and even get to where you can play pretty much whatever you want, but there will always be something to learn. Just depend on how serious of a guitar player you want to be.
